THE ARTY PATCH - STUDIO GUIDLINES
Welcome to The Arty Patch! We’re so glad you’re here. To ensure a positive, safe, and inspiring experience for everyone, please take a moment to read through our studio guidelines.
1. Free Trial Session
Your child’s first session at The Arty Patch is a free 'try' class—an opportunity to experience the studio before committing to a full program.
2. Attendance & Communication
If your child will miss a scheduled class, please let me know via text or email in advance. This helps with planning and consideration for others.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refunds are available for cancellations made with notice:

7+ days before the session – Full refund

3–6 days before the session – 50% refund

1–2 days before the session – No refund
4. Public Holidays
The Arty Patch is closed on all public holidays.
5. Class Cancellations by The Arty Patch
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to:

Adverse weather

Instructor illness
-
Unforeseen circumstances
In such cases, we will notify you as early as possible.
6. Materials & Dress Code
All materials are provided.
We use high-quality art supplies and encourage children to explore freely—please dress your child in clothes that can get messy.
Don’t forget to pack a drink bottle!
7. Drop-Off & Pick-Up

All sessions are drop-off and pick-up.

If someone other than a parent is picking up your child, please notify me in advance.

If no notification is received, I will contact you before releasing your child.
8. Studio Conduct
We prioritize safety and a positive environment:

No running or disruptive behaviour

Kind and respectful language is expected

Parents will be contacted if behaviour becomes unsafe or affects others
9. Wellness First
To help keep our studio healthy, please keep your child home if they’re unwell. Thank you for helping protect our little artists!
10. Art Takes Time
Projects may not always be finished in one session, and that’s perfectly okay! Creativity doesn’t run on a strict schedule.
11. Growth Through Art
Not every child will love every piece they create—and that’s part of the process! We support our young artists in navigating challenges and embracing experimentation.
12. Messy, Playful, and Exploratory
At The Arty Patch, we value exploration over perfection. Our classes are hands-on, playful, and sometimes gloriously messy—just the way art should be!
